Another hello!

I had terrible trouble trying to post this last night (as did a few others, I see), so... hopefully it'll go through today. :)

Long-time sock knitter, newbie Sockapalooza participant, saying hello to the group! I'm quite excited about this (I guess just about everyone who signed up is, or else we wouldn't have signed up!) Just a bit about me ... I'm a 25-year-old living in Raleigh, NC, and I basically grew up in my mom's yarn store (Yarn Expressions in Huntsville, AL). I've been knitting off-and-on for about as long as I can remember, but the bug really bit me about two years ago, and I haven't really been able to put down the needles since then. Socks have always been my default project, so of course this is the perfect swap group for me. :)

My most recent pair of completed socks are my Aurelia Socks, which I designed myself and knit up using my own hand-dyed sock yarn.

My mom and I blog together over at Manning Knits.

So, anyway... hello!

HI! I visited your mothers shop in Huntsville not too long ago. It was wonderful and the service was excellent :)

Tonni - I'm glad you liked her shop! It's definitely one of my favorites, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a blood relative and I'm obligated to say it. It really is one of the best yarn stores I've had the pleasure of shopping at. :)

Emmie - Thanks! I was really quite pleased with how both the pattern and the yarn turned out. I'm addicted not only to sock-knitting, but also dyeing sock yarn and writing sock patterns, so... this was like a triple whammy for me. :)

Ooo pretty!

For some reason, known only to Google/Blogger I can't post for love nor money on this blog (other Blogger blogs are fine though), so I'm going to have to settle on just commenting, unless someone has a magic suggestion?
