unbroken chain

I've been good. I contacted my downline sockpal and even commented on her blog. I've been contacted by my upline sockpal and answered some questions for her. So hopefully the three of us will pass on the joy to all the Sockapalooza Four members. I've got the yarn and pattern picked out but since I'm using my alias there will be no pictures here. I'm still learning how this secret sock pal thing works. Maybe next time I'll have my act together. Enjoy the knitting everyone. Looking forward to seeing everyone's socks over the summer. Sock Pal where are you?

Hi,
I wonder whether I have a sock pal out there? I'm so excited about sockapalooza and already contacted my pal and chatted with her.
I'm afraid that I deleted a message because I have so many spam mails.
So, maybe you can leave a message in my blog or send a mail.
Sorry for my impatience.

Finally!

Here's my second attempt at posting....I love that we broke Blogger. Knitters are powerful! I'm Suzanne, from Baltimore, MD. I've heard from both my pals (upstream and downstream) and am so excited! This is my first ever swap and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm hoping to pick out some luscious yarn for my pal this weekend at Maryland Sheep and Wool!

Sleepless nights

Children are odd , first they wake up their parents in the middle of the night and then they just fall asleep without any problem. ( sometimes it goes with husbands too) Well that was off the topic..
Socks.. I have been thinking of them.. and I think I have found THE PATTERN . ( sorry in finnish only, and its a free finnish knitting magazine online) So one problem solved, but the next one is worse .. The YARN and of course THE Colour. Too many hard decisions to make over somebody.
Next few days maybe I'll be surfing on online stores , looking for yarn.. and I think there will be more than one skein to order . My husband has already been planning to use my yarn tash as an insulation material, to our new home ( to build an house , thats a long project..)
Already I'm planning a shopalong with fellow finnish knitters to buy knitting needles, and perhaps few skeins are in list too :D

Have a great time, and be careful there
Yours

Aloha!

Hello everyone! How are you? I'm super! As in, SUPER EXCITED to participate in Sockapalooooza! This is the second time I have participated in Sockapalooza. The first time was last year and it was a really GREAT .

I hail from Hawaii: home of hot beaches, exotic flowers, and rush hour traffic (yes, we have that, too).I started making a Monkey sock using Yarn Pirate merino & tencel sock yarn in the Sadie colorway.

Based on my pal's color preferences, I think she might like this one so I will finish the first sock before I decide if it is good enough for my pal.

There are still three more months before I actually have to send out her socks, so there will be plenty of time to knit more potential pal socks and get to know her better through her blog. I'm excited...!

Ooh! I almost forgot!

You can peek in on my blog here if you like. I promise I'm not this nuts. I am just bored and I got new sunglasses. I think they're a little to big for my face, but I love them!

quietish sock knitter

Hi all,

To say that I guess this will be a busy blog is surely an understatement. So I'll just say I'm looking forward to everyone's posts! Socks are love.

This is my second Sockapalooza. Had loads of fun last time. I plan to do lots of sock knitting this summer, so this will go nicely with my plans.

You can see my blog here.

Hi from CT!

This is my first sockapalooza and I just wanted to give a quick shout out from Connecticut. Unfortunately Blogger was mad at me and wouldn't let me post my hello. Mean Blogger! Anyway, I now have my pal's info and am looking forward to getting started on her socks.

I, like most of you, have a blog where you can see some of the socks I've knit and witness my general craziness.

Looking forward to some sockity goodness!

Hi everyone, this is Faith from The Knitting Cook podcast. I participated in Sockapalooza for the first time last year, and I'm so glad to be part of this again! I cannot believe how huge this knit-along is. I think that this group blog is a great idea, because it will help to centralize the whole effort.

I've created a "secret" email account for myself, and have started emailing with my giftee. I didn't do that last year, and was sad that I hadn't made the effort. The more participation, the better! I hope to be able to get to know my giftee's likes, dislikes, and choose the perfect yarn and pattern for the socks. I want this swap to be really special for my pal.

My plan is to use some yarn that I've never even handled before, so I'm pretty excited to order it! More to follow...

In the spirit of all things socks, here's some recent stash enhancement I've done for no reason other than that I'm feeling excessively "sockish" as of late! (??!)

Measurements specified

Dear Sock Pal,
I specified the measurements of my feet in the sockapalooza 4 database like purple princess suggested.
When you send me an e-mail pls use a clear subject that it can doesn't end up in the spam folder.

First time paloooz-er

I haven't done a swap before, so I'm pretty excited about the whole process. I have my sock pal's info, and I think I know the pattern that I'm going to use. I think we have pretty similarly sized feet, so that should prove helpful in sizing. Now to figure out the yarn. I'll probably make updates at my blog once I figure it out for sure. Yay! Many thanks to Alison for organizing.

P.S. To anyone who's still having trouble logging in - I just now got Blogger to accept my original invite link, and I've been trying since late last week, so keep trying!

Hi From London

Hi!

Thought I should drop by and introduce myself. I am also a newbie, and can't wait to start knitting for my partner! I think I may have already found the perfect pattern for her, so now I shall seek out the yarn...
