found it

I've been sitting around, trying to think up something suitable for my pal. By "sitting around", I mean knitting gratuitous grad and birthday gifts, but whatever. I kept coming up with things that were the wrong guage for what I have in the stash, or the colors I have look ugly or any number of things that could dead - end an idea.
Today I was working at The Wool and the Floss (Detroit area knitting and needlepointe shop), when a very large box arrived. Inside were several bags of Panda Cotton, which my boss had been telling me about since she saw them at Crystal Palace's booth last month. Crystal Palace is right where I grew up, so I love them to begin with, and as soon as I picked it up, iI fell totally in love with it. I had a hell of a time picking the color, what do you guys think?

Hi,

that looks great! I really would love to try Panda as well, I have heard quite good things about it.

Enjoy, Karin

I love that yarn!! I've seen it in many yarn stores and have always wanted to buy it, but haven't.

I love that yarn too! That is the exact color I'm using right now... and I'm using "seascape" for my sock pal's socks. I found that you get a better drape and softness if you use larger needles - I mades ocks for my daugter using size 0 needles and am using size 2 for my current pair. I like the larger needles best for this yarn.

beautiful yarn! i'm using it too - but in a very different colourway that kind of reflects where i'm from so i have a story to tell with the socks. she likes most colours so i've tried to take some clues from her blog...
